The School Of The Seers by Jonathan Welton

Jonathan Welton is an excellent writer. In this book, he explains what it means to see in the Spirit. Each chapter includes Activation instructions to put the principles of the chapter into practice. He presents a well-balanced, solidly Scriptural point of view, which he illustrates with his own experiences.

He has divided the book into four sections. In Part One: Pillars, Jonathan Welton lays a firm foundation. He defines a seer and how it differs from a prophet. Only nine people in the Bible are specifically identified as seers. He shows that we all have the ability to see into the spiritual realm, which is more real than the physical, but not all have a ministry of the seer. He also answers questions about angels.

In Part Two: Spiritual Sight, we learn about discerning of spirits and what can hinder us in moving in the area of the supernatural. He also shows the absolute necessity of operating in love. “Love literally gives us back the eyes to see each other without sin.”

Then we move into Part Three: Unlocking The Gift. Faith is required to unlock any spiritual gift. In this chapter, we are given instructions on increasing our faith. Jonathan Welton looks at the importance of Biblical meditation and imagination. “The imagination is the creative organ of your spirit.” Finally, in this chapter, we are taken through the principles of worship.

The concluding Part Four, Advanced Seer Training, warns against using seeing in the Spirit and prophecy to determine End Times beliefs instead of the Word of God in context. Many have fallen into this trap. Spiritual warfare and Christian maturity are explored.

An interactive study guide closes the book. The School Of The Seers is highly recommended for any Christian seeking a greater understanding and experience of the things of God. We must have a solid foundation in these things as we seek to glorify God by expanding His kingdom.
